Removing the damaged hitch
This trailer hitch replacement was completed in Anniston. K&G Welding cut off and removed the old damaged hitch and prepared the steel trailer tongue for the replacement.
The first photograph shows the old hitch piece after it was cut off. A separate image shows the trailer tongue following removal, so the discarded component is clearly distinguished from the prepared repair area.
Fitting and welding the replacement
The new hitch was fitted to the prepared tongue and welded in place. The photographs show the fitted replacement, welds on each side and the completed hitch replacement.
What to send for hitch or coupler work
Include photographs of the full trailer, the current hitch or coupler, its connection to the tongue and any replacement part you already have. Tell K&G Welding where the trailer is located and whether shop or mobile work is being requested.
The surrounding steel and the replacement component need to be reviewed before the work is quoted. K&G Welding offers steel welding; trailer brakes, bearings and electrical repairs are outside the service scope.
