What goes into the quote

Six details that affect the work

Repair scope and quantity

Tell us how many brackets, connections, frames or other pieces need work. Several similar repairs and one isolated crack can involve different amounts of preparation, fitting and welding.

Steel and replacement parts

Include approximate dimensions, steel thickness if known and any parts you already have. A made-to-fit replacement, purchased hitch or new plate changes the material and fitting work to be quoted.

Condition of the surrounding steel

Show the damaged area and the metal around it. Corrosion, bent sections, earlier repairs and the amount of preparation can affect whether the request involves repair, reinforcement or replacing a section.

Location and travel

K&G Welding is physically based in Piedmont, Alabama. All Alabama jobs are considered. Extended-distance travel and setup are quoted individually using the exact job location and the project scope.

Access and setup

Show the space around the repair, available parking and any gate, height or site-access restrictions. Tell us whether the item can be moved or whether the part is still attached to the machine or trailer.

Fabrication and fit

For a new steel piece, describe what it needs to fit, how it will be used and the quantity. Drawings, dimensions, hardware and installation requirements help define the work before a price is agreed.

Send the useful details first

What to send for your project

Repair quote requests need a clear photograph of the damage. References for a new custom-fabrication project are helpful and optional. The form asks for a job location when mobile service is selected.

Welding Cost Questions

How much does mobile welding cost?

K&G Welding's local mobile minimum is $200, including normal approved-area travel and setup. The final quote depends on the agreed steel work, materials, preparation, location and access. Extended-distance travel and setup are quoted individually.

What is the Piedmont shop minimum?

The minimum for transportable work brought to the Piedmont shop is $75. Send the project details and arrange a drop-off after K&G Welding reviews the request.

Does the local mobile minimum cover long-distance jobs?

Extended-distance jobs have an individual quote based on project size, exact location, travel time, site access and setup. Send the full mobile job location so travel can be included in the quote.

Can you quote from photographs?

Clear photographs and written details help K&G Welding review the project. Measurements, replacement-part information or an on-site review may be needed before the work can be agreed. Repair quote requests require at least one clear photo; references for new custom fabrication are optional.

Does requesting a quote reserve a time?

A quote request starts the project review. The price, scope and schedule are agreed before work begins. Emergency or after-hours availability must be confirmed.

What materials do you weld?

K&G Welding provides steel work only and does not offer aluminum welding. Send photos and any material information you have so the project can be reviewed.
